Special camps being held to include students in voter list in Namakkal

To include eligible students in the voters list, the Namakkal district administration is conducting special camps in educational institutions in the district from Monday.

As per the orders of the Election Commission of India, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll 2026 is being carried out in Tamil Nadu. As part of this, the enumeration forms have been distributed to the voters by the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in all the Assembly constituencies in the district and the filled forms have been collected and uploaded through the BLO app.

As a continuation of the exercise, the process of including young voters in the relevant polling booth is being carried out by the BLOs by obtaining Form 6 from the voters who will complete 18 years of age on the qualifying date of January 1, 2026. The voters studying in colleges in Namakkal district and whose names are not included in the voter list will be included by the BLOs and village administrative officers (VAOs) from Monday. On the college campuses, the BLOs and VAOs provide Form 6 to the students and get it back after filling the forms.
