Tribals to take out Jeep Jatha, over hydro tasks displacement

A seven day ‘jeep jatha’ will likely be organised throughout the Agency areas of Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) district from September 22 to protest the alleged displacement of tribals by State governments resulting from ‘hydro energy tasks.’

Announcing the ‘jeep jatha’ at a press convention in Paderu on Thursday, P. Appala Narasa, ASR district secretary of AP Girijana Sangham mentioned that the jatha can be inaugurated by CPI(M) Central Committee member Ok. Lokanadham on September 22.
