Vijay will announce candidates for elections: TVK

Denying media reports that Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) candidates will be announced starting Sunday, the party general secretary, N. Anand said that only the party leader, Vijay, will announce candidates.

He denied that there was any rift between TVK functionaries, at a meeting held in Tiruchengode Assembly Constituency on Sunday.

At the meeting, former Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan stated that the people of the State were seeking an alternative to the DMK and the AIADMK. Anyone can join the TVK alliance, but they should accept Mr. Vijay as the Chief Ministerial candidate.

TVK propaganda and policy general secretary K.G. Arunraj said corruption was rampant in every department of the DMK government. He claimed that there was no protection for women, and that the Chief Minister does not have time to appoint a regular DGP. There is no difference between the BJP and the DMK. “We will follow the orders of Mr. Vijay, and the people are ready to vote for TVK,” he added
