BJP councillors dying: Kerala Cooperation depts Vigilance wing begins inquiry into Valiyasala Farm Tour Society

The Vigilance wing of Kerala’s Cooperation division has initiated an inquiry into the alleged monetary irregularities within the supposedly Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-controlled Valiyasala Farm Tour Society, headed by the social gathering’s Thirumala ward councillor, Ok. Anil Kumar, 52, who died by suspected suicide on Saturday (September 20, 2025).

General Education Minister and Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] State Secretariat member V. Sivankutty stated on Monday (September 22, 2025) that the division would audit the society’s monetary transactions and repair accountability by “figuring out members who wilfully defaulted on mortgage repayments and indulged in different self-profiting financial shenanigans, consequently pushing the establishment into monetary misery”.

Mr. Sivankutty stated the BJP management couldn’t escape the “vicarious accountability” for Anil Kumar’s dying.

Mr. Sivankutty stated he had referred to as on Anil Kumar’s bereaved household on Sunday and located them deeply disenchanted with the BJP State management’s “failure to assist Anil Kumar tide over the society’s disaster”. 

Mr. Sivankutty stated the BJP was making an attempt to avoid wasting its face and insulate itself from the wrath of its cadres by blaming the State police for Anil Kumar’s dying.

Mr. Sivankutty stated Anil Kumar’s purported suicide letter, itemised as crime scene proof by the police, clearly indicated that the councillor felt betrayed by his personal social gathering members and deserted by the State management.

Seeks apology from Rajeev Chandrasekhar

He stated BJP State president Rajeev Chandrasekhar was venting his ire on journalists, provoked by the inner disaster his social gathering has discovered itself in. Mr. Sivankutty demanded a public apology from Mr. Chandrasekhar for allegedly demeaning a girl journalist at Sivagiri on Sunday.

Meanwhile, CPI(M) district secretary V. Joy has referred to as for protest marches in municipal wards, demanding that the police convey “BJP leaders accountable for the councillor’s dying” to e book.
