Senior police superintendent Ajai Singh stated one accused was shot in each legs and one hand, and one other in each legs and hospitalised in Rishikesh. He added that the shoot-out was triggered as police chased the accused, Mohammad Azhar Tyagi, and Ayush Kumar, who’re from Uttar Pradesh’s Muzzafarnagar and Shamli, round 11 pm on Thursday.

Tyagi and Kumar allegedly killed Rohit Negi after firing at 4 folks in a Sports Utility Vehicle on Tuesday. One of the 4, Abhishek Bartwal, registered a homicide case in opposition to Tyagi and an unidentified particular person. Bartwal accused Tyagi of threatening them earlier than they have been fired upon.
