The Minister mentioned a calendar had been ready to organise eight mega occasions and 15 district-level occasions within the State. Partnerships had been being solid with worldwide associations just like the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and others to advertise the occasion administration sector.

Referring to the Tourism Policy, Mr. Durgesh mentioned that it aimed toward rising the tourism’s contribution to the State’s GDP from 4.6% to eight% and creating 2 lakh new jobs, elevating tourism’s employment share from 12% to over 15%, and place Andhra Pradesh as certainly one of India’s high 10 States for international tourism.
