According to G.O.Ms. No.48 issued on December 13 by Tourism and Culture Department Special Chief Secretary Ajay Jain, the proposed Radisson resort will involve an investment of ₹61.32 crore and is expected to generate employment to 250 people. The project was cleared following recommendations of the State Investment Promotion Committee and the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB).
As part of the incentives, the government has approved reimbursement of 100% net State Goods and Services Tax for a period of 10 years or until recovery of 100% of the fixed capital investment, whichever is earlier. In addition, the developer will receive an incentive equal to 10% of the fixed capital investment, capped at ₹10 crore, to be disbursed in five equal annual instalments from the commencement of operations.
The project will also be eligible for electricity at industrial tariffs and reimbursement of electricity duty for five years. While reimbursement of stamp duty paid earlier will not be considered, 100% reimbursement of stamp duty on mortgage and hypothecation has been allowed accordingly.
