The Supreme Court on Monday refused a Sri Lankan nationwide’s petition for refuge and mentioned that India shouldn’t be a dharamshala (free shelter) that may entertain refugees from all the world over. A bench comprising Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Okay Vinod Chandran was listening to a plea by a Sri Lankan citizen, who was arrested in 2015 on suspicion of getting connections to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), a terrorist organisation as soon as lively in Sri Lanka.
