National Tourism Mart in Visakhapatnam on February 13, 14

Minister for Tourism Kandula Durgesh with the department officials after the signing of an MoU with the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India on Wednesday.

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh on Wednesday announced that the State government, in collaboration with the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), would organise a two-day National Tourism Mart-2025 in Visakhapatnam on February 13 and 14, 2026.

To facilitate rapid growth of domestic tourism, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of senior officials from the Tourism Department and representatives of ADTOI.

The Minister said the proposed event would serve as a platform to showcase the State’s coastal tourism, spiritual circuits, heritage monuments, eco-adventure tourism, and agency (tribal) area tourism at a national level.

Prominent tour operators, hotel owners, destination promoters, tourism stakeholders, and travel experts from across the country would participate in the mart.

Mr. Durgesh said the B2B networking sessions, destination presentations, business meetings, panel discussions, and familiarisation trips to tourist spots would enable the local tourism stakeholders to establish direct business linkages with national level players, and expressed hope that the initiative would help increase tourist footfall, improve local employment opportunities, foster long-term business relations and secure national-level recognition for the State.

Representatives of ADTOI said their mission was to strengthen domestic tourism, promote and bring lesser-known tourist destinations in the State to light, and ensure sustainable tourism growth and employment for local communities.

Expressing happiness for partnering with the Andhra Pradesh government, they said it was committed to working with national associations to achieve responsible and comprehensive tourism growth.

The programme was attended by Special Secretary of Tourism Ajay Jain, Managing Director of AP Tourism Development Corporation and CEO of AP Tourism Authority Amrapali Kata, Deputy CEO of APTA Srinivas, AP State Creativity and Culture Commission Chairperson Tejaswi Podapati, Communication Officer S. Padma Rani, ADTOI president Ved Khanna, vice-president Ashish, Travel Mart CEO Vijay Mohan and others.
