The two males – Parvaiz Ahmad Jothar from Batkote, Pahalgam, and Bashir Ahmad Jothar of Hill Park, Pahalgam – had been arrested by NIA on Sunday within the first main breakthrough within the investigations into the assault that left 26 individuals, largely vacationers, lifeless and 16 others injured on April 22.

Parvaiz and Bashir had knowingly harboured the three armed terrorists at a seasonal dhok (hut) at Hill Park earlier than the assault, in accordance with NIA investigations.
