National BC Dal president Dundra Kumara Swamy stated they’ll quickly launch an enormous motion to safe enhanced reservations for Backward Classes (BCs).

Addressing the all-party BC leaders’ assembly in Kachiguda on Monday, he stated, “For a long time, BCs have demanded enhanced reservations in native our bodies and caste enumeration within the nationwide census. The Telangana authorities has responded positively by passing the Bills, however the BJP-led Central authorities has didn’t act. We will maintain the Centre accountable. While the State has taken steps, the Centre’s silence deeply disappoints us.”

He stated issuance of a particular authorities order (G.O.) to implement enhanced reservations in native our bodies can be the way in which ahead. “Under the Panchayat Raj Act (Section 285-A), as soon as the federal government points an amended G.O., recent reservations will apply to all local-body posts,” he added.

“By blocking the BC payments handed by the Telangana Assembly, the BJP-led Centre has mortgaged our constitutional rights. It granted 10% reservation to the EWS in a single day, but it has saved the 42% BC invoice pending for years. The BC neighborhood will quickly display its united energy, and the BJP will face the results,” he warned.

“If BJP leaders actually look after BCs, they have to meet Prime Minister Modi and demand inclusion of the BC invoice within the Ninth Schedule. Otherwise, historical past is not going to forgive them,” Mr. Kumara Swamy stated.
