The survivor, a second-year MBBS pupil at a personal medical school in West Bengal’s Durgapur, was allegedly gang-raped by not less than 5 individuals on Friday night whereas coming back from dinner with a male pal.
The Chief Minister additionally spoke to the survivor’s mom and Odisha State Commission for Women (OSCW) chairperson Shovana Mohanty, who was current on the hospital.

“Speak about your issues to our people who have gone to Durgapur to meet you,” the CM stated.
When the girl sought assist from the chief minister to get her transferred to any medical school in Odisha, Majhi was heard saying that he would enquire about it.
“Since you are a student of a private medical college, I will have to explore possibilities on how to get it (transfer) done. I have spoken to officials to enquire into it,” he stated.
Mr. Majhi requested the survivor’s mom whether or not they had conveyed their issues to West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose, who had visited them earlier within the day.
“The Odisha government will exert pressure at every level to ensure that the culprits are punished severely for this heinous crime,” Mr. Majhi informed the mom.
The Chief Minister suggested the Odisha State Commission for Women (OSCW) chairperson, Shovana Mohanty, to take care of contact with the West Bengal authorities and make efforts to supply justice to the sufferer.
