Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on social media: “Last evening the Polish airspace was violated by an enormous variety of Russian drones. Those drones that posed a direct risk had been shot down.”
He stated, “We are coping with a large-scale provocation…We are able to repel such provocations. The state of affairs is severe, and nobody doubts that we should put together for varied eventualities,” Mr. Tusk stated.
The armed forces posted on social media {that a} seek for doable crash websites is ongoing and urged folks to not strategy, contact or transfer any objects they see, warning that they could pose a risk and will comprise hazardous materials.
Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote on X that “greater than ten objects” crossed into Polish airspace and people who constituted a danger to Poland’s safety had been neutralised.
EU’s Kallas says Polish ‘airspace violation by Russia’ appeared ‘intentional’
The EU’s prime diplomat, Kaja Kallas, stated that Russia appeared to have deliberately violated Polish airspace after Warsaw scrambled jets to shoot down drones.
“Last evening in Poland we noticed probably the most severe European airspace violation by Russia because the struggle started, and indications counsel it was intentional, not unintentional,” Ms. Kallas wrote on X.
“The EU stands in full solidarity with Poland. Russia’s struggle is escalating, not ending,” Ms. Kallas added.
NATO to debate drones that entered Poland
The North Atlantic Council is assembly for an everyday session and can focus on how NATO responded to the drones that entered Poland in a single day, NATO spokesperson Allison Hart stated.
