Shodha: Pawan Kumar to play the lead in ZEE5 authentic Kannada sequence

After the recently-released sequence Ayyana Mane, ZEE5 is ready for the premiere of one other Kannada authentic sequence. Titled Shodha, the sequence will star filmmaker Pawan Kumar (Lucia, U Turn) because the lead.

Produced by Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj of KRG Studios, the sequence is directed by Sunil Mysuru of Orchestra Mysuru (2023) fame. Shodha will stream on ZEE5 from August 22, 2025.

Pawan, who debuted as a director with the romantic comedy Lifeu Ishtene (2011), mentioned, “Acting in Shodha has been a totally new journey for me. Coming from writing and directing, stepping in entrance of the digicam challenged me to discover feelings in a brand new approach.”

As an actor, Pawan was final seen in a cameo in Bachelor Party (2024), the Rakshit Shetty-produced comedy drama, that includes Diganth, Yogi and Achyuth Kumar. He performed a full-fledged within the hit Gaalipata 2 (2022), directed by Yogaraj Bhat.

Pawan’s final directorial was Dhoomam (2023)starring Fahadh Faasil and produced by Hombale Films of KGF and Kantarafame. The movie was a field workplace failure. Shodha is a comeback mission for Pawan, who took a protracted break from movies to pursue farming. He has been credited because the script physician of Shodha.
