The trailer introduces Sunny as Arjun Mehra, a celebrated lawyer known for his ideal principles. However, a high-profile murder case forces him to defend Shauryamann Gaur (Akshaye), a complex personality with darker shades. The two are a complete mismatch. Meanwhile, Tillotama plays a public prosecutor, who is pinned against Arjun in her persuit of justice for the murder victim. Dia plays Arjun’s wife, Avantika, and two have vulnerable discussions about the case. The film promises to be a dramatic courtroom-drama with powerful dialogues.
Speaking about it, Sunny said in a statement, “Ikka is not just a courtroom drama. It is a story about family, relationships, and the difficult choices life forces you to make. Arjun is a man who believes in doing what is right, but circumstances push him to question everything around him. His pain, his anger, his silence, and his fight for what he believes in are what drew me to this character.”
Dia added, “Avantika is someone who brings warmth, strength, and stability to those around her, even when life becomes increasingly uncertain. I was drawn to her resilience and the quiet courage with which she navigates the challenges that come her way.”
The film marks Sunny’s first direct-to-streaming release.
Produced by Alchemy Films, Ikka will be released on Netflix on July 10.
