He added the BJP-led Mahayuti authorities will cancel all such illegally acquired delivery certificates by August 15 as a part of a particular drive.
Collectors to take motion
“Many Bangladeshis have illegally acquired delivery certificates in Maharashtra by conniving with talathis (income officers). We have fashioned a job drive to look into it. District Collectors have been given the duty of cancelling all ‘pretend’ certificates. These certificates shall be cancelled by August 15,” Mr. Bawankule mentioned.
District Collectors must ship copies of the cancelled certificates to the Health Department and the Revenue Department, the Minister mentioned.
‘Forged paperwork’
A Special Investigation Team was earlier fashioned to analyze the matter after BJP chief Kirit Somaiya claimed that “lots of” of delivery certificates had been issued to Bangladeshi nationals on the idea of solid paperwork.
The former MP had alleged that a number of Bangladeshi nationals and Rohingya individuals have been residing illegally in numerous elements of Maharashtra through the use of pretend paperwork.
‘Role of officers, brokers’
Speaking to The Hindu, Mr. Somaiya mentioned, “So far, the Maharashtra authorities has cancelled 42,198 delivery certificates. There is a transparent nexus amongst authorities staff, brokers, and candidates, which must be investigated.”
According to information supplied by the Border Security Force, at the least 110 Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally within the State have been detained since January to be pushed again into the neighbouring nation.
