Speaking to The Hindu, P. Ramachandra Raju, Treasurer of the Andhra Pradesh State Branch and convenor of the marketing campaign, stated Governor S. Abdul Nazeer will formally launch the initiative on Tuesday, with 70 colleges receiving the primary batch of material luggage on a pilot foundation..
Mr. Raju additional defined that the initiative is designed to “mix youth management, native partnerships, and a transparent operational mannequin to attain measurable environmental outcomes.” He added that college students shall be educated to undertake and promote reusable options, instill sustainable habits, and affect behavioural change of their households, colleges, and communities.
The programme follows a six-step execution mannequin, overlaying pupil enrolment, training modules, behavior monitoring, waste assortment, recognition, and evaluate, carried out with assist from college coordinators and educated volunteers.
Strategic companions embrace Magsmen Brand Consultants, SayWhat NGO, Atoms Digital Solutions, and Women’s College, Guntur, every contributing experience in messaging, inclusive engagement, digital infrastructure, and on-ground assist. The ₹75 lakh annual marketing campaign is fully funded by CSR contributions and voluntary donations.
Mr. Raju expressed confidence that the mannequin might be replicated throughout districts to construct a sustained, State-wide motion in opposition to single-use plastics.
