The mass rendering of the ‘Naada Geethe’ will happen on the opening day of the convention and is ready to be one of many show-piece occasions as this yr marks the centenary of the State anthem, in keeping with the organisers. Around 15,000 to twenty,000 college students from varied faculties, together with 100 reputed music ensembles and celebrated vocalists, will collectively sing the ‘Naada Geethe’ as a tribute to Kuvempu, she added.
Lolakshi, secretary of the Dasara Kavighoshti sub-committee, mentioned this yr’s conclave shall be hosted over 5 days on the B.M. Sri Hall of the Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies, Manasagangotri. It shall be inaugurated on September 23 and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah may also be current, she added.
Each day shall be marked by a particular theme and the primary day’s convention shall be inaugurated by Aravinda Malagatti, a professor.
