Polling was underway for the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections in Assam on Monday (September 22, 2025) amid tight safety.

Polling started at 7.30 a.m. for the 40 seats in 5 Districts — Baksa, Chirang, Kokrajhar, Tamulpur and Udalguri, with 316 candidates in fray. It will proceed until 4 p.m.
