Telangana man ‘shot useless’ by cops in U.S., household requests MEA to assist in bringing again mortal stays

A 30-year-old man from Mahabubnagar district of Telangana died within the United States after allegedly being shot by the police there following a “scuffle” along with his roommate, his relations mentioned on Thursday (September 18, 2025).

Mohammed Nizamuddin’s father Mohammed Hasnuddin, citing info obtained from a pal of his son, informed PTI that the incident occurred on September 3, although it’s unclear what precisely occurred.

“According to info obtained by him, the scuffle passed off over a petty matter. However, the main points of the incident are unclear,” he mentioned.

He mentioned they bought the details about the incident on Thursday (September 18, 2025) morning. He has requested External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to assist in bringing his son’s mortal stays again to Mahabubnagar.

“Today morning I got here to know he (Nizamuddin) was shot useless by Santa Clara Police, and his mortal stays are in some hospital in Santa Clara, California. I have no idea the precise the reason why police shot him useless,” Mr. Hasnuddin, mentioned within the letter addressed to Jaishankar.

He requested the minister to ask the Embassy of India in Washington D.C. and Consulate General of India in San Francisco to assist him in bringing his son’s mortal stays to Mahabubnagar.

Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan, who shared the letter with the media, urged the External Affairs Minister to assist the household within the matter.

Mr. Hasnuddin mentioned his son has been working as a software program skilled within the USA after finishing MS there.
