Russia says downed 193 Ukrainian drones in a single day

Russia’s Defence Ministry stated Monday (October 27, 2025) it had downed 193 Ukrainian drones in a single day, with native authorities reporting one individual killed within the assault.

“During the past night, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 193 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.

The governor of the border area of Bryansk, Aleksandr Bogomaz, stated on Telegram {that a} minibus had been struck within the village of Pogar, killing the motive force and injuring 5 passengers.

Russian forces in complete downed 47 drones in Bryansk, which borders Ukraine, in addition to 40 within the Moscow area, with most of these headed in the direction of the capital, based on the defence ministry.

Russia has stored up a near-constant barrage of drone and missile assaults — notably on Ukraine’s power networks — because it grinds on with the full-scale invasion it launched in February 2022.

Ukraine has more and more responded with its personal strikes concentrating on Russian oil refineries and different power infrastructure.
